I've read recent reviews and all are good. I really have to buy his new album and hear it for myself. I know it's available from the official Runrig website. -------------------- One by one the guests arrive, the guests are coming through

Uschi and I are just at this moment listening to Blair Douglas's A SUMMER ON SKYE album. Very listenable stuff with some well known musicians taking part in Blair's compositions...Malcolm Jones on guitar, Duncan Chisholm on fiddle and even Chris Harley doing his keyboard thing. Nice, also, to hear the clarsach being played by Mary Ann Kennedy.
All nice moody stuff...in a Celtic context, of course, by the accordiam maestro. Still haven't got round to hearing his latest album called ANGELS FROM THE ASHES. The reviews are excellent and it might appeal to our American readers with it's Cajun connections. -------------------- One by one the guests arrive, the guests are coming through

I have got it and had a listen. A bit samey in parts and a bit boring sometimes. A decent lyric would liven up most of the mostly excellent tunes to save it from being a total waste of time. Sorry, just a five out of ten. |
