A late comment on Runrig's Aberdeen concert.
I took my eldest son Calum aged nine to the concert at Aberdeen Music Hall. We got to the second row standing. Two nice ladies made a gap for Calum at the barrier and he was in the best position of all to see the band... front row centre and only a few metres from the stage. He bounced and sang along to the songs he knew. The sound was a bit iffy in places but it didn't spoil an excellent gig. Of all the concerts I've been to, this one must rate as best for audience participation, best for most noise in a smallish venue , best for audience behaviour. Everyone must have had a great time, I'm certain. My boy Calum had his big Lion Rampant flag out and waved it over the barrier and at the end of the concert he got Bruce's Set List. For those who ask for details of the Set List, I set it out below exactly as it was printed. 1) YEAR OF FLOOD 2) BEAT DRUM 3) ROAD TRIP 4) PROTERRA 5) OCEAN ROAD 6) TOLL DUBH 7) SONA 8) ENGINE ROOM 9) EVERY RIVER 10) MAYMORNING / PIPES 11) REITEACH 12) SCANDINAVIA 13) STAMPING GROUND 14) CLASH OF ASH 15) SKYE 16) HEARTS -------------------------------------- 17) ON THE EDGE 18) PROTECT -------------------------------------- 19) SOMETHING'S GOT TO GIVE 20) LOCH LOMOND 21) GOLDEN STORIES Nice gig. Great crowd. Fantastic band. Best wishes for Xmas. Scotty -------------------- One by one the guests arrive, the guests are coming through
